Installing lift at home- will it fit in garage?

I am going to be installing an OME full suspension on my T4R 885 front and Superflex in the rear. I usually do all the wrenching on my vehicles myself and have done suspensions on my cars in the past (lowering of course), so I was planning on doing this at home as well since it seems pretty straightforward.

However I thought about something that seems kinda silly- when I pull my bone stock 05 V8 sport into the garage, it just barely fits. The roof rack is an inch from hitting the bottom of the garage door (the door "droops" back down after opening fully). If someone were to hold the garage door fully open to the top of the door frame while I pull in, it would clear with a few inches instead of one, but my concern is AFTER I install the lift, can I back it out of the garage without hitting the door frame?

I understand OME lift in the back is pretty high before it settles in, which usually takes a few days. I don't want to install the lift and have the runner stuck in the garage because it will hit the door frame. I measured my door and have 82.5" total clearance. For those of you who have installed lifts at home- is this enough to get my truck out after the lift install? I'm thinking worst case scenario I can deflate the tires to back out.

You will have plenty of room. 82" is 6'8" - your truck won't be that high.

You should be able to modify your garage door to open fully, so you might get couple of inches there. Also, worst case scenario, air down your tires

Is your opener fairly new? I just installed mine a couple years ago and it has an adjustment of where to stop at the top. So I was able to gain a couple of inches compared to the old opener. I also had the springs adjusted before the new opener was put in. So maybe also get your springs tightened a little.

If you've never adjusted springs please don't start trying now. They're have a lot of torque behind them and if you're not careful you can get really hurt. They're one of the few things around the house I won't mess with. I called someone to do mine and then installed the opener on my own.

I have adjusted garage door springs before, but I shouldn't need to. Besides, I'm renting and don't want to mess with anything there. I don't have an automatic opener (I know, I know), so the door can just be pushed up a few more inches by an assistant. This garage door is definitely shorter than most. Back at my dad's, the door is 2.5 inches taller and I fell like that is pretty short.
