I've poured through the various threads/posts here relating to brake master/booster/accumulator failure, and have yet to come across my specific symptoms. Mainly want to make sure i have the necessary parts needed as the entire assembly is becoming obsolete and on indefinite backorder per Toyota.
Here we go.....
After spirited, and foolish ill be first to admit, driving pedal began to get soft. Heavy SUV and not so fresh DOT 3 and the fluid started to boil... Obviously i then slowed down, and then came the loud alarm and dash lit up with: brake, ABS VSC, and TRAC lights. THEN PEDAL WENT ROCK SOLID. Fortunately i was close to the house and limped it back. Thinking the brakes just needed to cool i went back out to start it after a few hours; same thing stiff pedal and all the warnings.
Thats when the research began and i'll admit am still somewhat confused. Several different resolutions have been found with all different types of part numbers....
The part used in eng208's post 4705035030 (the ABS Modulator Valve) which is the entire assembly, i could not get my hands on. I do have 4702560081 (master cylinder) and 4795030010 (accumulator) i do not have the ABS Pump which sits BELOW the master cylinder. Im hoping this can be sent out and rebuilt as i cannot find it separately nor the correct part number.
So i guess in short, has anyone experienced these same symptoms?
Am i going down the right path with the parts?

The truck has been in the family since new in late '02 as father did, and still does work for Toyota. There is nothing else wrong with the vehicle, and will not be junked over this! Still pulls with modern V8 trucks, and tows my race car and trailer.
