Interior 4Runner map lights - LEDs?

I'd like to upgrade my interior map lights... Is this the right product for my 4Runner, the two map lights in the middle and back of the vehicle? Is it a simple unplug and replug the LEDs?

What do I do for the front? The front has two smaller lights - it is my 1998 SR5...

I used these first then switched them to 24 led panels. The 12 led panels were just to dim for me.

Not sure if that is a full set or not but for what its worth I bought a set from so_led on this forum. They are awesome and I get a ton of random compliments from passengers.

So we would need one of these for each light? I have been looking to do this upgrade myself so I appreciate the OP asking the question.

You have a 2000 - I have a 1998... Do you have those two square lights right above the center console? I know I need two of the same light maps for the middle and the back lights, but I'm not sure about the two square, smaller front lights...

Yes I have the two lights right behind the rear view mirror. I just want to be sure I get the right stuff. Thanks

Still looking for the right item for my front two map lights... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Too much stuff on eBay and not enough know how about it... All the old LED forums have expired ebay links...

I have seen a good many posts on LED lights for the 3rd gen T4r. I ran across some at Advance Auto Parts that are called "Dome Litz". They are not too expensive and they fit in the spaces in the front (the two map light spaces). They also fit in the center light cavity (over back seats) and the cargo area. They come with connector adapters and a small piece of double sided adhesive tape. *WORD OF CAUTION* - be sure to disconnect the battery when putting these in. Also make sure you do not stick the light in with the adhesive tape. Stick only to the back of the light board and leave the plastic film on the other side. This provides insulation and protects from shorting out the lights when you turn on the power. These little lights (rectangular shape) put off a good bit of light, they are available at Advance and are readily available.

I had a tough time figuring out how to pull the map lights on my 4runner without damaging the housing. Found this post on Yotatech.

You will first need to remove the center clip that is around the base of the mirror post. Using a small flat blade screwdriver insert and pop the cover loose.
