Interior LED swap lights are flickering....

Hey guys,

I did the LED swap for all my lights and I am starting to notice that the map lights, main dome light and the license plate lights are flickering occasionally.

What causes this and how do I fix it?

Cheers

Owen

Yep, what mcarey86 said. You bought (whether you meant to or not) cheap bulbs. You'll need to replace them with better quality. The lighting write up linked in my sig below will have a lot of info for you... Good luck.

Had to replace both license plate leds on mine within a year.
This time round bought the following based on reading up on the forums.
Someone else confirm that these are the right bulbs

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DE7UC6C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These ones are more yellow less white than the ones I got from ebay.

It's pretty hard to tell what they're selling there, man. Honestly between that and the fact that you're getting 10 bulbs for $12, it seems fishy. The license plate and most of the interior bulbs are "194" so grab a decent set from XenonDepot or PrecisionLED

XD: 194 bulbs | 194 LED bulbs | 194 automotive bulbs

I purchased these 194 LED

https://www.amazon.com/10pcs-Wedge-...ar&reviewerType=avp_only_reviews&pageNumber=1

been a few months now and I did all the interior lamps they fit also. doors/visor /dome front. tested all all worked. they do have a slight blue look .. OEM 2016 lamps dull and yellow .. these do work brighter and much cooler on the heat.. 5watts. about .3amps..

I used these in the backup lamps . did not like lacked the lumins I was looking for so I got T15 leds everbright.. good lumin power works good .. got 4 for $16....

These Philips 194 LED bulbs are my "go-to" T10/194 LED replacement. Nothing out there beats them in terms of quality and price point.

Please do yourself a favor and go with Philips. I just changed most of mine out with Philips and the quality is top notch. The fitment is OEM. I did the whole cheap bulbs, and tbh, its pretty embarrassing when you license plate lights start to flicker.

I had originally ordered a set of LED's from yitamotor/ebay and at least one of the license plate lights started flickering after just a couple days. For the longest time I just assumed it was the socket, not the bulb. Thankfully I found this thread after finally being sick enough of the flickering to do something about it. I ordered these Philips from XenonDepot based on this thread hoping to correct it. They are flawless. Don't waste your time or money on cheap ebay sets!

I'm going 4 months strong on JdmAstar's bought on Amazon. None of mine have had any issues and my neighbor has had them in his for over a year. Same, no issues.

194's

You may want to check if you still have Warrenty on those 194. Totally agree go with Philips. Great big brand, just wish there was 5k.

my EBay cheapos have been flickering for a while now... just bought all new Phillips replacements from XenonDepot bet they get to me before my Xtreme HID kit!!!

You may get the Philips LED replacement bulbs sooner but they ship via standard shipping which takes 5-10 business days whereas as the HID kits ship via 2-day shipping. If it's a back order issue with the Xtreme HID kit due to the Philips 4300K or 6000K bulbs I apologize about the inconvenience and delay.
