Thanks for all the likes guys, glad it's helping some of you fellow fisherman out! Been using it non-stop since installed and it's never let me down. Usually have 7 rods in when heading to fish. Still can't think of a better way for my needs.

Do these also work with outside fishing rods, or do you have to modify them?

Just stumbled across this post - thanks! I had tried some pre fabricated straps with loops built in but they needed a handle in the back where the garment hooks are. Saw your post and it’s a perfect solution. Been climbing up to take the rods off the roof rack when I park so the rods don’t get stolen so this will make life 2x easier.

I made a similar rod holder for mine. I used a Rubbermaid clothes rack from Target and added PVC conduit pipe below it, using screw hooks for holders. For the front I just used some shock cord, tying loops in it to separate the rods.

Great Idea Jivewalker

I bought the bars from Walmart. This is an excellent modification and easily the most useful for me. I hate breaking rod tips in car doors. Much obliged!:wink2:
