Interval for "Additional Maint. Items"?

How often do you guys complete the "Additional Maintenance Items" in the service guide?

I am due for a 60k, which includes: lube prop shaft, re-torque prop bolt, two air filters, engine oil and rotate tires.

The additional items are: transfer case oil, trans fluid, and front & rear diff oil.

Should I do any of these items at 60k? I don't tow anything, other than an occasional kayak trailer, which weighs maybe 400# loaded.

I am fairly certain there is a *note in the manual that the additional items are only for certain types of driving conditions which they call out. I don't think occasionally towing a 400# trailer would fall under those conditions so I would recommend you wait to change those.

*Check to verify

From my 2013 Warranty & Maintenance Guide. Check note 2.

Related: When have people been replacing their serpentine drive belt? Mine still looks relatively new (no visible cracking), but has 104K Miles and is close to 4 years old now.

What are general thoughts on the 1GR-FE timing chain(s)? Is it basically a "lifetime" part assuming proper OCI's and such? I know our bores can't be machined due to the thin liners (possibly lightly honed, but not bored-over) - so our motors basically aren't candidates for a rebuild - correct? Just looking ahead to 250K and beyond :)

Grazie! :yo:

I replaced my belt around 120k miles. Still looked fine, but would make a bit of noise when it was really cold (-5F) out.

Haven't heard of many (any?) issues with the 1GR-FE timing chains or tensioners.
