Is this a Gimmick? I wonder if there are actual benefits to this "New" oil type.

Here's the ''Test''......do they charge more for it than the standard oil in the same grade? It's Marketing, and likely has no real benefit under anything but absurd conditions. I found that the 20/50 Performance Mo 1 and the Motorcycle Racing Mo1 were virtually identical in formulation but Performance is $4.50 a Qt and Moto is $12!!! That's the Power of Marketing.

The main difference in moto oil vs car oil is the friction modifiers that don’t play well with wet clutches. Rotella T6 is wet clutch compatible and super cheap so lots of people use that in bikes.

As far as this “suv” oil, it’s probably the same as every other mobil 1 synthetic.

The ''Performance'' 20/50 doesn't use Moly like the Energy Saving Mo1's do and is Wet Clutch safe. It is the best priced Synthetic that is Moto safe and has the additives for the valvetrain wear of a bike. 10 years in my KTM 450.....working great!

Idk, can’t find any “performance” versions of Mobil 1 but the rotella T6 At $10 a gallon (with rebate) is hard to beat

15/50 is the Performance oil with additives for flat tappet cams and followers used in Muscle Cars and Motorcycles. It is a real PAO Synthetic and about $23 for 5 quart jug at Walmart!
