Introducing: RLCWeldFab 3rd Gen Plate Front Bumper

The time has come to gauge interest/orders on the plate bumper for 3rd gens.

RLCWeldFab is in Louisville, KY. They are anything and everything fabrication. From building custom bumpers to converting helicopter fuselage to a camper. I came to James, the owner, with a basic idea. Wanted it "high and tight". He started with the center section and we tweaked the outside just a little.

Turn around time was about 2 weeks, but can be quicker now that the design is finalized. He ships plate bumpers almost every day for other rigs.

Bumper is bolt on design. No welding needed or frame rail caps needing cut off. It's bolted on the front frame rails with factory bolts and custom plates made on the side for more strength. I opted for the hoop but also can be added or removed per customer request.

He can add or remove the turn signal lights. I had him add them in mine. If you have any small tweaks to the design in that aspect, he can do it.

All bumpers are shipped raw. Powdercoating/painting is up to you once you receive.

If so, I think the side profile should be angled back a bit more- follow the flare line more. From the pic, it looks like your tire could possibly hit it at full bump when turning. Not an issue for most(maybe none; maybe the picture is deceiving), but the pic looks like 35's at a lower ride height might be a problem.

I would say around 80-100lbs. Not sure of exact weight. Not horrible by any means. He's made a rear bumper for a 3rd gen before, he has pictures floating around somewhere. Give him a call and ask.

I definitely understand what you're saying. I swear you people and your 35's always wanting that extra millimeter of clearance haha.

I've never had any issues with it rubbing up there, at all, and I've had the front flexed out to the max. And I think the angle of the picture makes it look a lot closer than it really is.

Hah, you showed up in my ig explore feed the other day and I was checking out that bumper. I was going to DM you and ask you what they cost, but I got sidetracked and forgot.

The stock OEM mounting bolts and location have me worried when heavy winching is needed. Also like stated above more clearance under the flare side would be nice.

Other than that it looks pretty solid.

I've had to dig myself out of a rut one time before and put a good amount of strain on this bumper and haven't had any issues. The extra bracket along the sides aides in eliminating the stress.

The clearance along the flare is something can can be tweaked if someone desires that. It's a simple fix.
