So I got new tires put on and thought it was new tire noise but now I’m certain it’s gear whine.... plus feels like it’s “chugging” at times under uphill load or cornering [emoji15] haven’t crawled under to check fluid level but haven’t noticed any leaks [emoji2375]

Checking the fluid level and quality is probably the easiest first step, just need a 6 point 24mm socket and some gear oil. The plug has no corners on it for some reason, so a 6 point is imperative. Dropping the spare also makes it easier to get at the fill plug. If a bunch of metal and a chunk of ring gear comes out, then there is a problem.

If everything checks out okay, then refill and see where that gets you. Rear takes 3qts and you won't need a pump if the spare is dropped. I used mobile 1 synthetic 75w-90

New plug pic for reference, you can see it doesn't have the corners. I rounded the old plug with a 12 point before I went out the get the 6 point, which got the plug off easily
