I have made arrangements to buy an Imperial Jade Mica Sport Hood tomorrow. The price will be $295. It is a complete OEM sport hood, but it probably needs to be repainted on top. The price will be $295. I don't have photos yet.

A replacement hood costs $150 ($75 to $250 on eBay), plus $150 for the scoop insert and other Toyota items, and then $200 to paint and blend into the fenders. I don't think that you can get an aftermarket color matched sport hood for less than $500. Even if you can get it for a little less it is still an aftermarket hood - the OEM is better quality in my opinion.

If no one wants to buy it I am going to cancel my plans to get it. I already have a silver sport hood I can't sell and I can't afford to have a lot of money tied up in sport hoods if no one is going to buy them.

I know owners out of state want me to ship, but I (and several other forum members) think that there is too much risk doing that. There is probably a greater than 50% chance it would get damaged during transport.

Let me know if someone would buy it - otherwise I will cancel my plans to pick it up.

I think if you used the silver hood you have now and built a wood frame and box. Damage would be difficult. If you put a label on the outside saying fragile glass it may help too.

I think this is actually going to be a real nice hood for weekendclimber. All/most of the oxidation should buff out, but I can't say for sure. I didn't notice any clear coat peel. The sheet metal is perfect and it is a complete hood. I appreciate weekendclimber paying so quickly and I am holding it for him to pick up in several weeks.

Dude, seriously!! I think what you are doing is a huge benefit to this site. I know that you seem to specialize in sport hoods, but I've seen some of your other threads where you're picking up other parts. You deserve serious props for this.

So earlier this afternoon I met [MENTION=116195]weekendclimber[/MENTION] on Texas Ave. in College Station to give him his OEM Sport hood. He was on his way to Austin and I'm sure has a long day ahead unpacking. I'm happy for Scott and can't wait to see this all buffed out and installed on his 4Runner.

As for moving everything out of the truck you see in the photo... that's what movers are for. Eff, moving that shizzle up two flights of stairs!!!!
