Is this a good set up for my 99 2WD 4runner?

I'm gonna have to side with Absalom here. If it wasn't for wheeling I'd want the looks and the comfort. I'm sure you could get more comfortable than this set up, but it'll probably cost more, and be more work to set up. 4Runner's with mild lifts are really really good looking I think. I have ~3" lift set-up right now, and I would actually like to go lower for looks if I could stand losing some approach/departure/break-over clearance. But I don't wanna lose clearance!
Me thinks a full skid plate setup, complete with F&R bumpers should be put on your Xmas list. Then you can go much lower and just bounce over stuff :D

Am I the only one who is super hard at the idea of just doing new OEM 99 coils, new OEM shocks, 1" body lift, and the aforementioned P rated A/Ts?

5100's/Eibach are mediocre for street quality. I'd prefer something with a little more compliance so I could rail on it around town.

Oh boy, my pants are so tight just thinking about it!

When you say 5100s are mediocre for street quality what do you mean?

They made for off-roading specifically? I want to upgrade to those for a more comfortable ride. and get rid of my spacer kit altogether. I am going with the TRD Coils Upfront and the LandCruisers for the rear.

What he means is that the Tacoma 5100's are too soft for the 4Runners weight. They are valved for the lighter Taco instead of the heavier 4Runner. If you want to run 5100's on the front, you need to run the ones for the Tundra instead.

I have the Tundra 5100's with 99 talls in the front and the matching Tundra Bilsteins with OME 906's in the rear and the ride is great. It is also level front to rear as well. I am currently 2wd but a 4wd swap is in the works.

What I mean is that the Tundra 5100's with TRD coils were not up to my standards of comfort and compliance. Mine always felt rather harsh and unsettled. It's important to point out that I really only noticed how harsh they were after I rode in a fully setup 2.5" Icon 4runner.

As I mentioned to OP last night in PMs, if I were to buy yet another 3rd gen, my mod list be simply this: 2.5" King coilovers in front, 2.5" King remote resi shocks in back coupled with short Superflexes. I'd then slap a rear mount turbo on it and call it a day. It'd destroy every other 3rd gen in 95% of situations, and be amazing on and off-road. So figure $1,750 for suspension and $1,000 for turbo. No futzing around with different springs, lift heights, alignments, or other crap.

This is my latest thoughts:
Tundra Bilstein 5100's all around
Toytec Eibach 620s in front

*Undecided on rear springs...LC coils or OME? and what wrap count and what size?
