if you are going to keep it stock and do more than drive to the mall, I would say its worth it. if you plan on doing a bunch of mods then its not.
for me, I have a 6'5" garage door opening, I cant lift it, so I am leaving it stock (mostly, well for now anyway). so for me, it was worth it

Without OTD pricing on each its really a fruitless question.....but in almost all situations my answer will be hell no.......unless as [MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION] mention the unique color options do it for you or you think that a lift will void your entire powertrain warranty.
what ever you get be sure to buy the extended warranty - 4runners are notoriously unreliable :heh:
Only you can answer if the Pro is worth it to you - I suggest you figure out what you like about it, see what those parts and pieces cost to add to a TEP/TRD Offroad or whatever they are calling it these days and do some math.

the TRD Pro suspension fits on the other models, and you can get takeoffs for pretty cheap

Yes, totally worth it to me and I didn't even get the unique color.

I didn't want either of the unique colors, but still was super close to buying one. The main selling point for me was the upgraded suspension offering, but honestly I'm more than happy with my SR5 Premium and all the bells and whistles that it came with. Have been adding my own touches and I'm glad that I didn't shell out the extra 5 grand or so since I honestly don't offroad or need the upgraded suspension for daily driving

You're not the only one. I give out troner's like its my job... oh yeah, I have an SR5P.
[MENTION=150537]Mvrocky[/MENTION], the pro's big claim to fame is the suspension and as [MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION]pointed out, special colors. You can get Bilstein 6112's, which are the adjustable version of the pro coilovers, and 5160s the pro rear fro around $1K to 1.2K. Not worth the pro mark up at all. Check my garage for the part numbers. I did UCAs b/c I did a 2.5 lift in front. If you keep it stock height, you don't need them.
If I could do it over again, I would have got a trail/ trd off road premium. Not really for the crawl control, but for the black interior accents which I have yet to black out. You're better off with a TRDORP or SR5P and then taking the saved cash and build it exactly how you want it. No shame in a faux pro.

If it came with a sunroof I would have bought one. I instead opted to convert my TRD Off Road Premium into a Pro. Did all the cosmetic installs myself and went with Bilstein 6112/5160(Still on back order at the moment) instead of OEM Pro suspension.
Spent $3,549 for all the Cosmetic pieces, Tires, Wheels, Skid plate, Suspension and a few things like painting the c pillar emblems Black at a body shop. Mine had an MSRP of $43,300 and came with damn near all of the possible port added options, but I paid $38,700 for a grand total of $42,279 and I can still sell my OEM wheels/tires, grill and valances to make a few bucks back.
While I'll never be able to say I own a TRD Pro, not one person would notice the difference and everytime I have the sunroof open and the hatch window down, I know I made the right decision. And for the record I absolutely wanted a Pro as it looks perfect as is to me.

I would've paid the extra $$ for an Inferno Orange Pro but I was purchasing my TP through Costco and the program doesn't work with special orders...or so I was told.
I was looking between the Trail and TRD. I would have liked a TRD color, but I would rather have had the sunroof and KDSS then add a better suspension set up later. That and I don't wear flat brimmed hats lol. I have to say I wanted to do the front end swap at first and the TRD rims, but I like the grey front and Trail rims a lot, so just keeping it that way. I'd rather spend my money on useful things. Really just personal preference and where you want to spend money.
I traded my White TRD Sport tacoma in on a Pro. I did all the mods on my Tacoma and then two years later removed them and sold them. I did not want to go thru that again. I chosed White again. Could have had a Cement Pro in July and passed on it. Two months later I had the White Pro. Did not want the sunroof. Maybe down the road I will upgrade the audio system. My Tacoma had a awesome system in it. No regrets buying the Pro.

My two cents: I am at a point where it fell into the "Gotta Have" Category. In terms of cost, No. In terms of the "Wow Factor" Hell Yes.
Resale is even better then the other T4R Models
This is my 3rd T4R and IMO opinion the best of the three in ride, off the road capabilities and quality.
