well the '97 blew a head gasket thanksgiving weekend between san felipe and rosarito, here we are on superbowl sunday and it went for a test drive! other than a 1700 rpm idle (seems to be a popular malady here) it runs good! thanks entirely to this site, a huge bottle of ibuprofen, a hand full of rusty tools from my childhood, this old man laying in a rocky dirt field in mexico muddled through his first and hopefully last engine swap.
BTW the no spark to weak spark back to no spark is a total mystery? it JUST started running! and i'll take that!:frog:
