It's thanksgiving time!

Now since it's thanks-giving...and (at least with my family) on thanksgiving at least one person asks "so what are you thankful for?" now I'm asking you fellow t4r owners. What is the single reason you are most thankful for having a 4runner. So let's hear the story and possibly pictures if ya got em

my front xmember for not breaking in 2 this weekend wheelin... with ~11" of front ground clearance i was travelin up class 3 trails all weekend.
 
im thankful that i have my runner when this happened

I am thankful that when a guy in a Honda Accord pulled out in front of me my 4Runner Saved my life, @ 65 MPH and I walk away w/o a scratch or a bruise. Even drove it home, pulling over and letting it cool for a little while since there was a huge hole in the rad, and had to take the tire iron to get the bumper off the wheel. I wanted to take the tire iron to the guys head, he didn't know how much I loved my truck!

I am very thankful for my old 1991 Runner. It saved the lives of both my friend and myself when a woman hit us head-on on a bridge. We were both doing about 40.

What am I thankful for ?

All the brave men and women protecting me and my family

other than that, Im thankful for my family, the few real friends I have, the fact I have a job, food in my belly, and a roof over my head :party:
 
I'm thankful for my fiancée and our new baby on the way. I'm thankful for a good job am a great family and friends as well.....

And lastly thanks to those who serve this great country we call home.

Not to knock anyone's response to this thread but did you read what I originally wrote? I was asking for a story of the single moment you were so grateful to have your 4runner. For example, I'm grateful to have my runner because of last winter 17 inches of snow in 2 hours and all i had was open diffs 4 wheel drive and bald BFG a/t's.I was one of very few people (all others were 1st gen t4rs set up for Serious crawling) able to drive around the mountain and make it to the store to get food and water plus I was able to make it to my cousins to make sure him and his family were safe. Power was out for 2 weeks trees were dropped all over the roads and it just looked like a bomb went off 3 days later half the roads weren't plowed or even touched by pg&e or "asplundah" tree service If I didn't have my truck we woulda had to walk a couple miles in the snow and stayed cut off from everyone.

Topeka for Christmas. It seems like it's always crappy weather when we go. I lived in KCK for 3 years and Olathe for 1 year. I love that town and still consider it home (hence the username). Good news or me....they're opening an Okie Joe's in Tulsa! :hungry:
