Keep the pics coming JB. They are some of the best I have seen of the 4runner in action. In fact, the one you had in a different thread with the lightning bolt background is the lock screen on my iPad. :lock1:

One thing I will say is how well the Duratracs are in wet/soft sand. I've probably got 600+ miles on the beach. I'm always on the Padre Island National Seashore which is 60 miles one way, and every single time I'm impressed with how well the tires perform. Here's one for all of the Surfers out there! There's is absolutely nothing like traveling solo, looking for waves, hanging out near the fire, and enjoying a Cerveza.

Great job! You, me and MeBe4running (Ollie) need to mee up for dinner sometime down in NC.

I'm thinking about a winter run to the Asheville area on Jan 18-20...I can't figure out when you are in NC vs. TX, but if you are around I'd love to meet up. If you have any trail or backcountry campsite recommendations I'm all ears as well. Have some new winter gear I want to try out.

Where in boone or ashville did you find those trails, i'd like to try them out when my trail comes in.

Pisgah National Forest, Linville, NC 28646

You can also look for Roseboro Rd Linville, NC.

Just google map the address and it should come up.

I'm in TX, but I travel a lot. I was born in NC, and I make that journey as much as possible.

Check out the Pisgah National forest. Miles and miles of old logging roads and great camping.

Roseboro RD in Linville is where I like to start:

The picture is from Old House Gap Rd. It runs along water the entire time, so if you like to fish, bring your gear!

YES, indeed! In fact I'll be living nearer you in March. I have work almost at the base of Mt Mitchell boarding Pisgah National Forest, so excited! Lets get the mountain bikes out!
