I'm amazed you got 85k on them and are still getting traction in all the scenarios in your pics! I only have 25k on mine and they get so caked up sometimes with mud they can't shed, they practically look like racing slicks. Don't get me wrong I really like them but am worried how much more I can push them and still get legit traction.

Ya, most likely. I like my tires to be somewhat flush with the wheel well. This is my first experience with so called "pizza cutters". My buddy who owns a Tacoma has been using 255/80 R17 for a while now and he swears by them.

Awesome photos! I didn't see this posted, but what backpack do you use to carry your camera gear? I'm getting back into mountain biking and need a decent hydration/backpack to carry at least 1 DSLR, 2 lenses, and a tripod.

Great choice on the STT MAXX; I think they are the perfect match up for the 4Runner and will serve you well.

I was using the sport 200 for a good while. Loved the bag and camera compartment. Only complaint I have is the shoulder straps don't have much padding.

I use the capture pro on whatever backpack I'm climbing in. I also use m43 and generally only take the lens on the camera. I had great success with it climbing in the Tetons and Cascaded last spring/summer. Pros: it's always ready to go, doesn't take up space in the bag. Cons: if your camera is susceptible to the elements, it's probably not the best option. If your camera is heavy, or your shoulder straps are thin, it can add a lot of awkward weight. My experience is that purpose built camera packs are too heavy and compromise space for protection, while climbing and backpacking packs don't offer enough protection. Sorry for hijacking.

That's neat, I would have to ride at a casual pace to have that attached. I'll definitely put that on my want list.
Nice, but I only have ugly pennies at the moment. :sobbing: I'll have to save up for one those in the future.

Headed out to backcountry ski this morning, but was skunked by the warmer weather. I ended up grabbing the girlfriend and doing a little rope work! :hatsoff:

Are you backing up your rappel? Rappelling is, in my opinion, the most overlooked aspect of climbing in terms of safety.
Folks, if you are of the climbing variety, and aren't already backing up your rappel, start doing it.
