How do you get your photos to look so clear?! Is it the lens or vamping up the "clarity" in post edit?

The last I played around with. I added a little saturation just to bring out the colors but not much. You've got to remember this was a severe cold front colliding with a warm front, so this doesn't happen very often. Mother nature definitely produced this go around. I was shocked at how colorful it was. I edit the photos to match the way my mind/eye pictured it.
I credit the lenses with the clarity. I use only "L series" lenses...nothing else. I also shoot RAW in the largest format.

I think the coolest thing about your pictures is how well they seem to capture the "spirit" of the moment. When I look at them I feel like I am there, or I have been there. awesome work man!
I would never attempt to compare my shitty cellphone pictures to your amazing work but that is always something I try to capture when I'm out. this HTC comes up with some half decent pictures now and again.

I have a GoPro and a Garmin on the dash.
In the center-right vent is a Petzel headlamp. My gf clipped it there one time we were on a trip and I haven't taken it down. It's actually EXTREMELY useful. It has a swivel mount and she was using it as a personal light to read. The great thing is that it has a red lamp, so it doesn't bother me while I drive.
The thing on the flasher button is a beer can opener that reads "RUN WILD".
The thing near the terrain select is an ASOTO torch. I use that damn thing so much it's ridiculous. It's clipped there so it's not going anywhere unless I tug on it. I got sick of it rattling around in my center console. I use it to for camping and cooking, and whatever else I can find. It has an retractable head...it's a really impressive piece of kit. You're probably asking why I would keep it there? Well, I camp out on average about 140+ nights a year, so I found that I would always spend 5-10 min trying to find "my lighter". I got sick of it, so I put it right above me!
I use the IPAD for music and navigation sometimes. When the GF is riding with me, she'll watch movies and play games.
There's also a cell phone mount you can't see, as well as a fixed blade mounted near the shifter. My friends always make jokes about how if I get in an accident and I'm the only one involved, the cops are going to wonder how I was burned and stabbed all at once?!?!
Oh...and the thing around the rear view mirror is a KIA bracelet.

Your photos are always so well planned and staged. Really encourages the imagination and makes me want to get out to the remote places.

I did talk about selling my baja rack. I'm looking around right now for replacements. I'm looking at Frontrunneroutfitters.com since they have more of a "Platform" style rack.
