Scrolling through your pictures and saw the 4R and then the bed and was wondering how the heck you modded a bed into it. I was hoping for a write up but it was in the Sprinter instead.

On my way back from NC, I took a little detour in Louisiana. I needed to slow down or I would have hit Houston at rush hour! So I found some dirt roads along the Atchafalaya Basin that were pretty fun. I ended up driving about 30+ miles on dirt roads that line the canals. VERY FUN!!

All of my canon stuff is gone, but I'm borrowing my friends canon setup until I make the move to nikon. While I was racing this weekend, the event Photog had nikon equipment. I talked with them after the race about their setup. I even got to play with a 400mm prime! I'm 90% certain I made the right decision, but only time will tell.

I also live in Houston and "ran" the Hog's Hunt 50k this past weekend, last long one before the Comrades Ultra in S. Africa.

I recently traded in my FJ Cruiser for a 2014 SR5, only real option was 4WD of course. First thing I ordered was the Baja utility rack for my hardshell RTT. It hasn't come in yet but hopefully it will be here by Memorial Day weekend.

Maybe run into you on the trails, either running or on the mountain bike. I ride a hardtail Moots and ride/run Memorial park during the week.

I shoot with a Nikon D600 and Leica M8.2; however, don't have the talent that you do.

Thanks again for sharing, I'm getting some good ideas for my new 4R.

Had a fantastic couple of nights. Went north to Sam Houston NF and camped. The weather has been perfect the past few days. Hopefully it will hold during my trip to the coast!

Are these with your new nikon gear? I did the switch a few years ago, but reverse. Canon had the video edge I needed at the time. I miss my D90 sometimes.

No I'm still using canon at the moment. I played with a d4 just last week and I was thoroughly impressed!
