Well, I'm hanging out in CO for 3 days. Unfortunately it's all business so there's little time to hangout, however I've gotten around a little. If everything goes well I'll be back very soon! :cheers:

Great thread!!! I'm sure you won't miss the seaweed from surfside beach.....
how many miles do you have to log per week in order to finish a 50 mile ultra?
At 6'3" and 250 lbs my longest distance so far is 13.1 miles
Do 200 lb ultra runners exist?
Do the dobies ever run with you and if so what's their longest run?

Again great thread and thanks for showing us that great scenery and adventure is all around us.......

Yep...You're a big dude, but I truly believe anyone can do ANYTHING! I've seen a few big guys doing 50's and 100's, however, you can rest assured that you'll lose weight during your training, even if you're 250lbs of pure muscle. As far as mileage is concerned, you can log pretty easy miles during the week....as easy as you want to make it. They keys to success are your longer runs on the weekend. Most importantly two long runs back to back. So a typical week may look like Mon-Rest Tues-4 Wed-6 Thurs-3 Friday-rest Sat-22 Sun-13. I'll go back and forth between logging time or miles. I like miles more, but if you live in the Mountains, time maybe a more suitable way of logging your training. I've ran at the most 10 miles with the pup. I try not to do that anymore, but it seems like she loves it.

6'4" mountain bikers exist lol. Great pics as always Jacob! Are you ever coming back east so we can ride at whitewater or Ann Springs? I ride a similar regimen on the trails. Maybe five miles then eight miles next day then repeat. Bigger rides on the weekends. Change it up the following week. Rode today on some seldom rode trails. Leaves and acorns up in the pedals lol.
