J-BlickPhoto Thread

Thank you for taking the time to share your adventures, much appreciated.

Beer is on me when our paths cross.

Excellent as usual, thanks for sharing! You should receive my resume and application to be your personal assistant within the week.

Excellent video, though with your pictures, I'd expect nothing less. Works on my computer, just not on my phone. Anyway, thanks for sharing. You are, to say the least, an inspiration.

NOW THIS GUY IS MAKING VIDEOS!!!???

So while the rest of us have to sit at desks, working for The Man, getting old, having our T4Rs sitting in parking lots hating us for not getting them dirty on a regular basis, and ask ridiculous questions about when to use 4WD and when the 6th Gen will finally be released (it will when they do people-its not that difficult to understand), THIS guy gets to rub it in our faces, not only with the beautiful pics he supplies us with, living life free and easy, but now he peppers us with HD videos of how his life also moves, in living color, surfing, skiing, hiking, camping...how he sees beautiful vistas, valleys, snow caps, beaches...about as often as most of us see rush-hr traffic...i mean really...now we've got to put up with THIS TOO...

c'mon man...what are we even DOIN here man!!!!!!

Mr J....
all i can say is...MORE POWER TO YA MAN. I think i speak for many when i say: Thank you so very much for a peek into your adventurous world.
It was a very good year, indeed

1) Close video.
2) Stand at work desk.
3) Stare out window thinking about video vs. life.
4) 15 minutes later snap back, realizing I need to GTFO there and do some shit. It's a new year, beard is feeling weak, lust for the outdoors is peaking.
5) PLANS A WEEKEND TRIP.

Thanks J-BlickPhoto for being some inspiration for me, I sure need it, and a bit of a life change... Well 2016, let's go!

Couldn't say it any better! Now that i got my hero4 I have an excuse to go out.

I've said it before when you were taking pictures in TX, and I'll say it again. Toyota should give you a 6th gen 4R and let you work your magic and sales will go up. I can only imagine what you can do with like 50k in production expenses and 50k for your work from Toyota. Give you a month and you would make a badass mini-series of commercials for them! You are already doing pro-bono work for them, Toyota marketing should take a look at what amazing work you do, Quentin and 1engineer, you guys have some connections, send them the link to this thread!

I have.
Toyota, like any company, outsources their advertising and a lot of their marketing. They coordinate and track and analyze. They give specific parameters to the ad guys and they in turn figure out how best to convey a message.

I sent a link to an engineer for Toyota. He in turn sent it to Toyota Marketing. They were supposed to send it to a third party ad agency for them to take a look at it. What are the chances that all this works?

Got back from Austin at 1130pm, walked in the house, gave the girl a hug, slept for 5 hours, woke up, drove to Rollins Pass in a complete whiteout and skied fresh powder for 4 hours. :D

Oh, and the dark front seat shot was taken parked, not while driving!

I've needed to make some cargo space for a while. I was thinking about building some drawers, however that would create some issues when sleeping inside the truck (which I do all of the time). So I went with another platform. This time, I over built the crap out of it! So, now (unlike the last one I had) it's bomb proof, and I built it to where it's fits like a glove and is essentially wedged between the back seats and back side of the vehicle. I'm going to add a slide out tray and a few more contact points for gear, but we are literally leaving (as I type) for a short camping trip....so they'll have to wait! :guitar3:

Really like the cargo setup! Do you mind sharing a little about the build and materials used? Are you intending on sleeping on top or underneath? How do you have the platform supported?

Im trying to get my cargo space put together and want to have something that looks similar to your mod with the capability to extend out and form a sleeping platform with the seats down.

Also, Ive been lurking in your thread for awhile now. Very inspirational stuff. It actually led to the purchase of my first DSLR. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I've posted these before, but great memories deserve a second look.

Thoughts of summer adventures with the pup.

Some mid-week camping to get over the hump....:boink:

I always try and make an effort to get out during the week. I've found that it just makes life better overall...plus, on average I spend about half the year camping!

Sorry for the black box in the pic...I was doing some product testing. :biggrin1:

It's not very often you get to hangout with Clay Croft from the Expedition Overland, shoot guns, and talk about 4runners.
