I ski just about every morning (when I'm not injured). I usually wake up around 5am and I'm headed up the mountain as the sun rises. :boink:

FUN! whether it is alpine, Nordic or snow shoe. As my cardiologist advised this old man, "you can snap on your skinny skis every day and play or you can...."

It's not very often you get to hangout with Clay Croft from the Expedition Overland, shoot guns, and talk about 4runners.

Absouluty the best thread I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Your pictures are amazing, you make it seem that we are there with you (crap, wish I was.) Props on Magpul and I'm a big TAD fan too. Keep the good stuff coming, it is killer stuff.

Have to agree. Great thread. And as for Magpul, Surefire et al...a big +1.
(Both when I was still on the job and now that I'm retired. Besides my new 4Runner those companies have figured quite a bit into recent expenditures. :boink: )

So I think I'm really starting to accept the fact that I need a lot more organization and storage and armor...

Now that the armor is on the way, I've taken a little time to get things organized. What started out as a tray has quickly morphed into a drawer. It's about 8 inches deep and 22x22" and holds a lot of misc camping/climbing/ski gear. So far I'm super happy with the overall design. The platform allows me to store items on top and still have the ability to sleep in the vehicle. Time will tell if the old lady can stomach the foot space I left on her side which is about 5 inches.

Great stuff. I've been to and experienced many of the locales and environs depicted in this awesome thread though most of my hardcore adventuring days are behind me.

Your memories evoke many of my own and I thank you for sharing them with us all. The images (and the commentary) are a joy.

Wow Jake, must be quite serious if you've started calling her "the old lady" :boink:

Took Carolina on a short ride. She loves the mountains.

Got my interior just the way I want it (for now).

1. Added a Nite-ize steelie to hold my phone under the security light.
2. Cleaned up the dash.
3. Ram Mount.
4. Added a locking latch to the drawer.

There's literally nothing "floating" around anymore. By that I mean, things in my cup holders, seat pockets, doors....that crap drives me crazy.

Looks like you got your fun meter maxed out. You might need to upgrade to a model that registers higher levels of fun.
