Anther day on the beach. During some down time, Evan and I tried to calculate how many miles we've driven on the beach (total) since I got the 4runner and we estimate at least 1800. I know for a fact that I've driven Padre Island National Seashore well over 15 times times which puts me over 1000 miles. Add all the miles up and down the NC coastline including Louisiana...I think 1800 miles is a fair estimate. Anyways, I'm confident to say it's my favorite type of offroad driving.

Tomorrow we're headed to climb and hopefully ski a little before we leave Oregon. After that, we'll slowly make our way back to Colorado over the next week or so climbing and skiing.

Got on some rock today! Still "trippin" :bravo: :uzi:

Been living out of the runner for several days now. I know I've said this before, but my platform has been absolutely essential. Without it we wouldn't have enough room to really sprawl out in the back. I also knew that we would primarily car camp during this trip, so I bought 1 large 3 inch thick medium dense foam mattress, cut it in half so I could still lift 1 seat at a time and used that as our bedding instead of our base camp mattresses. WAY MORE COMFORTABLE!

As you can see, Evan drives as I sleep and eat in the back. Pretty rad!

The iPad has that heavy duty Velcro attached to the back...it's plastic, not the cloth Velcro. I use my I pad for work so I'm constantly detaching it and taking it with me. I've had other mounts, but the amount of driving I do off-road caused everything to either rattle or shake. I've had it this way for 2.5 years now, and it's still going strong.

The ram mount is attached to the foot of the passenger seat. I have a love hate relationship with it being mounted like that. It tends to vibrate a lot and loosen itself often.

I'm about to pick up the ram mount and either mount to the pillar or get the non screw kind that mounts near the 4wheel drive shaft. We will see how those do.
