Thanks for digging up the pictures. Version 2.0 looks great. *I like how every picture of your truck is full of gear!
Can you still sleep two people in there with that box installed?
Is this version built in place, or can you remove it?
- I liked how the previous version could be removed as a camp table.
I built something similar, but I opted for right angle brackets off the side where the factory cargo cover goes in and where the "grocery" hooks are bolted in. Tomorrow is the first test camp run.
**This wasn't the finished picture, just the cardboard that was used for the trace out the final wood shelf.

Ya, version 2.0 is way better. I never really removed it as no matter how simple it was constructed, it was still heavy enough to be annoying to move. My girlfriend is 5'2 so she fits fine. The drawer could be a few inches shallower, but I haven't had the time to chop it. I found that it needed to be pretty burly to support the weight of 50-150 lbs of climbing, skiing, and mountaineering gear.
The nice thing is that it's quick, especially when it's late and you don't feel like popping the tent.
