Jan 19th March on State Capitol

I personally love the fact that there are a lot of American 4runner owners on here that happen to like the Constitution of the USA, and particularly the 2nd Amendment.

If you've been in a coma for the past couple of months--good morning, here's a cup of joe, and, oh yeah, the 2nd Amendment is under attack.

There's a buzz going around, started by nutnfancy ( a youtube 2nd amendment advocate) to get people who like the constitution and 2nd Amendment to head to their state capitol on Jan 19th to show support for the 2nd Amendment. I second the suggestion going around to dress nicely, be civil and well spoken, and to stand up for the principles of the United States of America.

If this is an issue you care about, please try to make it.

Well, the idea is for everyone who wants to partake in this to go to their respective state capital. I live in KS, so it'll be Topeka.

VCDL already has a Lobby Day for Jan 21st. I encourage anyone in VA to attend. I do not have any available time off for work or I would be travelling up there to attend.

I live very close to Richmond and would love to go to the march on the Capitol -- but I will be on the road that day. Grrrrr!!

I've been to Lobby Day a few times in the past, which is always a great event and we've been very lucky with the weather in recent years. That is my only day off work, but I have a dentist appointment and can't make it. {Timing is horrible for me with most everything these days.}

Anyway, I suggest that every freedom-loving, pro-liberty citizen join the NRA - and do it NOW - not some other date. I became a life member long ago and have no regrets.

For those of you in VA, I would suggest joining the Virginia Citizens Defense League ( Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc. (VCDL) ) -- which is a very effective organization that has been instrumental in both Second Amendment and self-defense issues that affect us in the commonwealth. (I joined three years ago and it is worth every penny just to receive their informative e-mails.)
