Saw this on the road today in Chicago, I thought it looked odd enough to share with you guys.

Not sure if serious but...

That is a TJ Wrangler with factory half doors and hard uppers, the spare tire & mount removed (the mounting holes are visible in the tailgate), an aftermarket hard top of some sort, and steel wheels with not nearly enough backspacing (3.5"?)

I knew it was a Wrangler, not to that level of detail though. The back spacing and lack of ground clearance paired with the goofy hard top gives it a very interesting look

Is that a newer Wrangler? I have to admit I don't pay much attention to them. The rear looks like someone crossed a Jeep with an AMC Pacer.

That's what I was thinking as well, it's a TJ with an aftermarket hardtop that sits higher than the factory hardtop.

I had two TJ's over the years. Good little beaters, especially in the 4.0L - 5spd flavor.

I can get a little more specific on this one: That jeep is a gen 1 TJ - '97-'02 based on the side mirrors and tailgate hinges.

Also, I totally agree: that hardtop is goofy.
