Awesome, I've seen a couple in person, and after watching Austin Nimela on YouTube paint his Toyota Pickup in an army green raptorline, it's grown on me. Looks like it laid out really well on yours, and now it won't scratch nearly as easy, you can be pretty rough with the paint.

i was already pretty rough on it but man the paint was junk before. looking forward to worrying even less

Go back to post #160 that was where i did it.

Basically wedged the pods in where i wanted them and built the brackets around that using the bumper mount studs.

This is a sort of sketch to show how they sit on the mounts i made.

Been a bit without an update but the other car has been getting all the love while the 4runner just runs without issue all the time.

Realized last time i checked my plugs for tightness that there was oil in the tube of the plug that socially distanced itself from the head in a previous adventure. After looking closer i realized that the tube seal wasnt seated on the valve cover and mustve been forced down the tube when the plug was MIA and compression was coming out there.

Lo and behold

So i swapped out all 3, new VCG and added a catch can while i was at it [emoji106]

I already bought an 04 discovery(dirt cheap) and an LS to drop in it. Had planned to sell the 4runner after the swap is done but i hate it sitting around and i dont have that much room.
Figured if it sells high, great, if it doesnt i’ll come down eventually or just keep it and street park it.

Love the build. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the raptor liner texture. I was looking at going raptor liner or monstaliner, but I'm afraid of it constantly looking dirty. I have the same color in a 98 limited and the clearcoat is gone. Thanks

In all honesty, i didnt like the raptorliner on it. I didnt regret it because my paint was beat, had a little surface rust on the roof, and had too many dings to be worth real paint, but i didnt like the raptorliner. Got a ton of compliments on it and wanted to like it but just wasnt what i had envisioned. Maybe another color [emoji2369]

Not sure i mentioned it but the 4runner sold in the crazy market. [emoji22] got an offer and couldnt refuse, plus with the Nissan seats in there, the twins car seats didnt fit so it was only so useful to me. Dove hard into the land rover build without the 4runner as a fallback and its almost ready to run with the LS swap.

Just in case anyone cares, i dont have a build thread anymore but post it on instagram a bit.
