Introduction:
This whole adventure started on December 31st, 2016. My wife and I were looking for a solid 4x4 vehicle to do some off-roading and overlanding.
I convinced my wife to come see a Montero in DTLA, and after a disappointing test drive, I remembered that I had seen an old Pathfinder at a garage somewhere close. She reluctantly accepted to go to the garage, and once again, we were not impressed - great car, but not when you're 6'4".
Walking around, we saw a 3rd Gen 4Runner, which was my Holy Grail. Money was tight though, and the car was basically twice our budget. Since my wife is an amazing human being, she convinced me to go on a test drive. Boy, did we love it!
A few hours later, we were driving back home in separate cars, thrilled to add a 2000 Limited to our family!
Here are a few pictures of the truck as we bought it. We took it to Gorman the next day and drove the Power Line Trail. Did not expect the mud though!

About the truck:
It is a 2000 Limited 4x4, with the E-Locker. The truck is in excellent condition, one owner only and 166k miles. The garage, a small family-operated business specialized in 4x4s, did some maintenance on it and we were basically good to go!
