June 27th Hard Rock ( Florida Toyota Trucks Association )

I've got a cell phone, but no other real way of communicating on the trail... I've been looking into getting a CB, just trying to wrap my head around all the options! If y'all don't mind, I'd love to borrow a radio. Just tell me what kind of batteries it takes, and I'll bring some extra!

And: although I can relate to hating mornings, I'm usually up at the crack of dawn when camping... I'll likely be the guy with a gallon of coffee rolling around the truck.

You are more than welcome to borrow one of my walkies, it is why i bought them in the first place. They have rechargeable batteries, so no need to worry about what batteries you may need.
 
All it looks like there are going to be 3 of us heading out on Saturday to Hardrock Cycle Park to meet up with the guys from the Florida Toyota Truck Association. It would be great to see some of you guys again and meet some of the new guys as well. Post if you are interested or text me if you already have my number to let me know you are interested. I would love to see another group of 12+ heading in force to the park but we cannot do it without you going :cry:.

When/Where:
Saturday June 27th, 9am. We are going to initially meet up at the Southernmost Pilot Travel Center off the exit (358) then head out to
Hard Rock Cycle Park around 9:30 ish to meet up with the rest of the heard from Florida Toyota Trucks Association.

COST: I forgot to mention for those who have never been but it is a $25 admission to the park and they give you a ticket for $5 off the next time. I hope this doesn't affect anyone going if it does let me know and we can try to work something out.

That stinks, another time. I was going to say if your rig was still down maybe you could just ride with me for the fun of it and be my co-pilot / the little voice that pushes me to do the stuff that makes me nervous. lol

Yeah, I try not to do new work a day or so before a trip but if it looks like it might fail, better safe than sorry! Save yourself some time and headaches and get some speed bleeders!

I will be doing a Tundra brake upgrade here in the next couple months and am going to do new soft lines for the front, extend the rear and add some speed bleeders. Maybe that is a project we can tackle over a couple beers!

I may just thrown them and a bottle of fluid in the truck just in case. Changing a line even out is a 10 minute ordeal on these truck so I'll just leave it till I get back. I have new soft lines but I will be ordering the extended goodridge ss braided lines very soon as well as the speed bleeders.

Yeah, bring the lines with ya and if we need to do any trail repairs we can but I bet you will have no issues! :)

Off topic of the original post but I found a set of 199mm calipers for $70 bucks.. with less that 60k on them. Should i go 199 or 231..
 
I've got the suspension and driveline all lubed up and ready to rock. Tools and camping gear are in the truck. I'm ready to go have some fun!
I'll be camping at the park, and have to meet up with folks at the park at 9 on Sat AM (due to my late arrival tonight). However, I'm probably still going to need some gas... All that to say: I may be a few minutes late getting to the Pilot, but I'll be there.
Looking forward to it!
 
Hopefully by this time next year I will have all the maintenance done that I feel need to make the long trip south to join some of the events down there.
