Junkyard Rant... Inconsiderate jerks...

Not the owners but other people getting parts. Found a limited in Nashville and wood grain trim looked good so went up there. Got most of the trim except for the radio bezel because some jerk had pried it off and snapped it while removing. I know it can be brittle but looks like Bozo just pried away with a screwdriver. I got all the other pieces in very good shape except now looking for radio bezel. Also someone just tossed the seats out in the open to get to something. Only take 30 seconds to put them back in just in case someone wanted sets that had not been rained on. Grrr....

People dont care. You seeing a society issue that's sadly getting worse. Many good wiring harness have been destroyed because people are in a hurry and dont care. ;(

There are lot of jerks out there who need to be told to 'do the right thing but there is no one who wants to confront them. Folks see things and tend not to' say anything. In in order to avoid confrontations.

Yup gone are those days of old when citizens patrol and, listen to each other to the benefit of a good society. The "who are you" to tell me what and, how to do things are the norm these days. Sadly it's the higher ups (Recycle yard mgr) that need to step up and patrol and put a stop to the customers destroying the recycle yard property.
It's the reason why only a handful of yards today will let the customer pull your own parts. The funny thing is some of the recycle yard workers are just as reckless as the customers.
I told the worker I wanted that rare fuel filter cover shield underneath. I told him if I could pull it since it's right there and only has less than 7 bolts. He says he has to do it and proceeds with the front end loader to lift the rig up. And cracking the shield I wanted to buy. He said glue would fix that long crack right down the middle of the shield.

Similar experience when I bought my elocker axle. The junkyard cut the wire harness and dragged it to the front with the loader. It ruined the brake backing plates.

I bet the person that did that also does things like:

- Throws cigarette butts out of his window and/or on the ground.

- Leaves a shopping cart in between spaces instead of putting it into a corral.

- Gets up from a fast food restaurant table and leaves his trash behind on the table.

- Parks in a handicap parking space because he has a placard for when he sometimes takes grandma somewhere, even though grandma is at home at that time.

- Never uses turn signals while driving.

- Doesn't flush a public toilet after using it.

Inconsiderate AH's are everywhere. Sometimes, I feel like saying, "Your mother should be slapped for not teaching you better manners".
