Just bought a 2001 4x4 4 Runner and could use some help.

After trolling this site as a guest for weeks and weeks, I just bought a black and silver 2001 for my daughter who turns 16 in a few months.
It has 150,000 miles but appears to have been well cared for. I am not particularly good at mechanical stuff but have gained some confidence while reading several posts on this forum. The issues I see currently are:

1) Keyless entry is not locking the doors-unlock works and the back window will roll down but it won't lock. Anyone seen this?

2) Power antenna doesn't go up- instead it makes noise while sitting still. Is there a short rubber type antenna I could somewhat easily replace it with?

3) Engine is really dirty (what do I need to cover up before rinsing it and what should I use to get it clean?

So far the leather seats have no tears. Does anyone know of a good conditioner I should put on them in an effort to prolong the life of the leather?

Do you only have one remote? If you have two, does it not work on both? If you only have one, I'm guessing the button just wore out.

Very common issue. Way more rare to find a used 3rd gen with a working antenna than one that doesn't work. It's an easy fix if you want to keep the power antenna. If not, search taco whip and check that out.

Take the air filter out. Maybe cover up your plugs as best you can. They make engine degreasers. Any auto parts store will have them
