Just bought race radios for my rigs

Just bought race radios with the whole crew I do my wheeling with. One for the red-runner, one for the prerunner, and two handhelds just in case.

Nice sale on rugged for fourth of July. Was planning to do it anyway, but saved several hundred dollars doing it today. Stoked. Just passing it along.

Dunno if you have dug into your radios enough to know this yet but...

Besides hard programming channels for your normal use on the vehicle radio (By them or from your computer). Is it possible to hand enter a frequency for one time use while on the trail? Say you join up with a group and the leader is all "150.505" an you don't have that Freq programmed in, can you switch to it from the units front panel itself for use right then?

I'm trying to decide on a radio but I definitely need to be able to hop onto any random channel that the group is using at any time "in the wild".
