Just did my front brakes...I'm going crazy

Was getting a pulsating when using the brakes and at highways speeds. This afternoon I replaced rotors and pads with Napa Premium, calipers were fine... I followed the break in and was able to bed them in as instrusted... I think I'm still getting a little pulsating when braking... I replaced front wheel bearings about 3-4 months ago....wondering what else can cause that...thanks Larry

Use a torque wrench to tighten your lug nuts in the proper sequence. Don't use an impact or tighten with a wrench. Any time someone impacts my lugs, I immediately go home, and retorque. This eliminates all shaking.

I did all the work at my fiances father's shop... I did use an air gun to put wheels back on (loosely)then tightened with one of those torque wrenches (Non click)

Sometimes you just get bad parts. I'm not saying that it's the problem in your case, but it's one of a few possibilities.

I put on two new front rotors last week and one ended up being bad. I returned it yesterday and all is good.

Take them back off and torque to spec. 80ft/lb

Do the torque
Do you get it just under braking or do you have a wobble at 60 to 70mph if you do could be a u joint

I had an intermittent vibration .I 2ould be smooth as glass and then I would hit the brake and get a ibration. And it would stay with me after I was done braking. Turned out to be a balance issue.

I work at firestone, and we had a demonstration done by a Procut guy where he took brand new rotors from napa and showed us that they were, what they layman calls "warped". They were off just enough to where at highway speeds they would pulsate. We then went on to use his machine and blah blah blah what I'm getting at is brand new doesn't always mean 'perfect'. It just means more material.

Could be your rear brakes especially if the pulsing is felt only only in the pedal and not in the steering wheel.

Did you double check the axle nut torque when you did the wheel bearings? Sometimes they can be rusty and seem like they seated all the way when they didn't, that could cause a feeling like brake pulsation.

NAPA rotors are garbage, I had a pleasure installing them once, never again. Try PowerStop, much better and no vibrations.
