Just entered the 4runner world!

Hey everyone, I just became the proud new owner of a new to me 1999 4runner 4x4!! My lovely wife bought it for me for my birthday in a couple days to have a fun toy to tinker with. It was my inlaw's vehicle and I've been thinking about buying it off them for some time now. I have a '13 Tacoma Sport 2wd for my DD and it was killing me that I didn't have anything with 4x4. So thanks to her I now get to plan another build!!! Can't wait to see what becomes of this new toy. Let the mods begin!!

Not yet but I'll take some soon and post them. Quick question; the 4wd hasn't been engaged in 10 years...how screwed will it probably be?

Welcome aboard Shaun! As for the 4X sys. take it to a loose surface and try it out. It should be ok I would think. Check the fluid levels in ur diffs and transfer case.

You can shift into 4-HI on the fly. You must come to almost a dead stop to shift into 4-LO. IIRC...
