After many, many months deciding on tires, I just pulled the trigger today on some 285/75/16 GY Duratracs. I really wanted Hankook MT 295s, but after reading a lot here, I decided to be conservative. I don't want a noisy ride, or an E load for that matter, but the Duratracs were available, $1060 total with hazard. It's not a DD, but I do the Sierra and back in a day--a lot, so that's a lot of highway miles.
I think this is the right choice for me given: SS1.2, 1" BL, 1.25 spidertrax, but they seem small and the power loss wasn't evident yet. Leaving for eastern Sierra tomorrow, so I'll see how Tioga Pass goes.
I'm sure this is more tire than I need anyway.
I appreciate everyone on this board...y'all know your stuff!
Thanks!
Craig
ps. crappy photo...sorry
