Just picked up my 4runner

Hey everybody. Just wanted to introduce myself. I just picked up my first 4runner, after a very long search I finally settled on a 2007 SportEdition v6 4x4 and I'm really happy with it. Im coming from an is300 so its a totally different side of the spectrum but the community looks solid here and I'm pretty excited to start doing my first mods. For now here is a pic of her.

Good job! You did exactly the same thing I did, except I bought a "Titanium" silver one with 74,000 miles on it. You will actually learn to love your 4Runner more, the longer you own it! I just drove mine clear across the country, from Maryland to Los Angeles CA, and I'm constantly amazed at how competent (and downright FAST) this truck is.

One word of warning: Toyota's marketing plan is apparently the same as Harley-Davidson's, to wit: your truck will never ever ever be exactly the way you want it. There will ALWAYS be
"just one more thing" to buy for it, to make it run better, or look better, or work better off-road, or sound better (stereo/CD, Sirius, etc). You have been warned!! And you're right, there are a great bunch of people here, gearheads all, and the knowledge available is staggering. Enjoy, and welcome to the forum!!

nice come up.. i too just picked mine up last week. already did the carbon filter removal mod and slapped some toyo at2's on it.. im already planning like my next ten mods..

Thanks guys, Sadly the is300 is gone. I had it for 7 years and it owed me nothing, the thing was a champ but it's time had come. It was a big factor in my decision to get a 4runner since I learned so much from it and how reliable toyotas can be.
