Just did the front grill, and rear emblems. More to come.

Looks good, storm trooper mod

once I get my 4Runner detailed I'm probably going to do the same, have a few cans sitting in my closet, I even bought the red plasti-dip, might get creative on the emblems. Wish my 4Runner was white or black though, definitely looks nicer.
 
I don't think i would use the smoke plasti-dip on your headlights. i would either pull them apart and spray they inside, like other people have done, or buy the aftermarket lights. It would be light shining a light through water using smoke. I can't wait to use the smoke on my emblems.
 
Nice that you should mention the smoke plasti-dip. I was thinking of plasti-dip on the center of the back bumper where it's silver on the SR5. Now I may try the smoke Plasti-Dip and see if it looks better with the gray.
 
wait, they have a smoke color now? that may look cool on my silver 4Runner.

I'll have to see if the paint shop in town will get any in.
 
Looks good! Did you cover up the smaller pieces of the grill, or do the whole thing and just stuck something behind it to keep it from getting on the radiator?

It's out, check eBay. dipyourride.com or whatever the site is just doesn't have it.

I ordered mine last week... unfortunately USPS decided to screw me over and it's somewhere in their possession right now.
 
how did you do the grill im about to black out my grill! any tips?

also does anyone have pictures of a black 4runner with the smoke plastidip on it? im trying to decide if i should smoke out the wheels or black them out or keep them stock... any ideas?

From what I'm reading, it's easiest just to take it off the runner. However I'm still not sure about the little "sub grill". Mask or spray it too? Not sure.

I saw a sweet USPS mail truck today that looked like they had used Smoke Plasti-dip on the wheels.........kinda crazy.....I'm just say'n.....lol
 
Looks good!!!! Been thinking of doing the same but I want to keep the emblems chrome. Is the back emblem held on by tape? Or screws?
