Just Purchased 2004 Limited 2WD, V8, 118K

So I let my 18 year old daughter drive my 99, T4R, and she won't give it back. It's a reliable, safe vehicle so I don't mind.

After looking for months I finally purchased a 2004 4Runner V8, 2WD, Limited with 118000 miles.

Pros:
-VIN came back clean and was serviced every 5k at the dealership, even the Blue, Green, Yellow Service.

Cons:
-One side mirror is broken
-Front fender extensions are fading
-It's Gold and the badges are Gold

Conclusion: It is hard as heck to find a decent T4R in AZ. People from out of state keep buying them up. :shocked:

What should I do with the Gold Emblems? Swap out with Chrome or Plasti Dip.

I recently bought a white 2004 Limited V8 4WD with 100k miles for my son, had to go to Texas to get it because they are too expensive in CA. Anyway, we had the emblems Plasti Dipped black. Its cheap and looks good. You can just buy a can, mask, and spray it yourself. If you don't like it then go chrome.

I always get vinyl stickers to replace my emblems. That way it easy to clean between the letters and looks smoother imo.

When I was looking for my 4th gen. There was a limited and the price was 6k obo. Clean title. I did not want it only because it was gold. It could have been any other color and I would have bought it. :redbrick:

I know how you feel. Based on the lack of wear and tear it was probably grandpas T4R. I even thought about buying a Tahoe, Yukon, or Expedition.

Then I came back to reality and decided to go with reliability.
