Believe me my friend...I've been there. I have been to heck and back the past few years. I'm learning to appreciate the small things in life more than ever.
I've has three major spine surgeries, three left leg rebuilds, and a failing kidney and liver and subsequent gall bladder removal and parts of my stomach and liver taken out this past year.
To top it all off, my cousin and best friend (everyone thought we were twin brothers having grown up together and left to attend college together and then stayed in Utah after to work) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the last week of July. By October 1st it had moved to stage 4 and he passed on October 24th. I made sure he got to spend his last 90 days with me after the diagnosis and I and my children learned a lot about gratitude and love.
He's gone now, but it was brutal and someday we are all zombies.
My point is that I guess I feel your pain and me here if any of you ever need to talk: working on the truck keeps the brain occupied; but let's keep it to a minimum so we aren't gold playing the engine bay!
We are all looking for the small victories that carry us through the days and I'm so thankful for them and the great people on this board. I look forward to getting more active now that I'm driving a 4R v8 sport again ! Yeeehaw!
Keep fighting! As you can see I made things sound like life is humming right along, but there has been some seriously scary and painful crap going on. Just look at those small victories and latch on to them. If you need something to do find a local working on a project and chip in time and expertise and maybe a tool or two. Make a new friend and make the hard days rly by faster!
Keep up the great attitudes and tons of info. It's great to see you all hopefully soon we will be trading some truly life changing tips for our trucks and for each other!
Thanks for having me back. Sorry the dumb questions will flow again soon, but you supahstars know the 4R like I know pizza.
