KC, Hella, Piaa, Whata?

They fit the Hella 500 lights that people add on to the 4runner. They don't fit the headlights


If you want PIAA Bulbs for your 4runners headlights you need H4's which are these bulbs: PIAA | H4 XTreme White Plus Twin Pack Halogen Bulbs #15224

I personally run them along with the H3's in my 4runner and they are a HUGE improvement in light output.

Yea, so if I read this correctly the $75 dollar PIAA #15224 replace the OEM bulbs with no modification?

you cant beat the brightness and lifespan of LED, not to mention they draw way less power than halogens. get a set of CBI ditch brackets and some LED cubs and never look back. the other option if you dont like the "look" of LED cubes is getting a set of PIAA LEDs LP series or RF series lights for rig. you could also mount these onto the bumper so as to not be above the height limit. LED is the way to go no questions asked -all PIAA LED lights are DOT approved btw.

Hey Absalom what do you use for the rest of the options with that retrofit? Also how much of a PIA is it to change a bulb on that once you have done the retrofit?

D2S, 4300k, H4 relay. Changing the bulb couldn't be easier.

Yup. Just remove old bulbs and plug in the PIAA's

I installed a set of projector head light (a cheap set from ebay hid included) and really it's the best 125$ mod i did, and a set of Hella 500 driving beam.
I will change my cheap fog light for a good set of projector and that's it...
Go a head and do the projector head light conversion, the cheap or a good set, it's 10 times better than any bulb swap you can do.

ugh.....remember the good ol' days when there was an 1157 or an 1157? projector, reflector,HID, halogen,LED,now im totally lost. maybe i'll just quit driving at night!:noidea:

Right on thanks man. This summer is the summer of the unload the current vehicle and get back into a 4runner then do a few upgrades. And this one is on the list.
