Land Cruiser Rear LCAs on 4th Gen

Last night I was talking to a buddy about my truck. He said that the Land Cruiser has a 2" longer rear LCA and could be a direct swap. Anyone out there heard this or can verify it? or is he thinking of the 3rd Gen 4Runners?

I would think that this could be a good alternative to the more expensive aftermarket parts. Thoughts?

You really don't want to lengthen the lower link, at least without lengthening the upper link as well or you'll end up with a poor pinion angle. If you lengthen the links you'll end up pushing the axle further back so you may end up with rubbing issues at compression, etc.

From what I've seen, most folks get the aftermarket links for their stronger construction and better joints. Yes, they're adjustable but I think that mainly serves so you can match the OEM link length for most folks.

I agree. But if I was going to go Long Travel in the future, this could be an option then. That's more what I was getting at. I would think that if the Lowers fit then the Uppers would fit as well. If not, material to make your own wouldn't be that bad.

Right now I have the Stage II as I bought it shortly after they released the setup (they didn't have staged setups yet). I need to get the links now to take full advantage, but it's really not critical right now as my rear sway bay is the limiting factor now even with extended links. So far overall I really like it, it rides well, and the articulation is great.

That would be part of what I was wondering as well. I'm not as familiar with the Land Cruisers to know what years they changed models and what not.
