They don't sell the Labdcruiser in Canada so I am curious.

Landcruiser is a full size SUV. They do actually sell it up here but its badged as a Lexus. The LX570 is a full size built on a Landcrusier frame. The Lexus GX460 is a mid size built on the 4runner frame.

What are the main difference of the landcruiser vs 4runner

The Landcruiser is just bigger and the engines are the major differences. It has more bells and whistles and creature comforts (can you say ventilated seats)... so if that's you're thing have it. IF you want to do any serious off-roading, you'll have to modify the Landcruiser as well just like the 4Runner... so in my eyes it's essentially a more expensive base platform to start modifications (comparing new msrp's)...

What market segment is the Landcrusiser after

People with more money than common sense in my opinion, at least at the new price point pushing 80K, because that just seems ridiculous... I nice used one may be a way to go... it'd get you into that segment at the price point of the brand new 4Runner.

I agree. Sure, it's nice for some people to have ultra-lux features in their SUVs, but can't we just have pure, unadulterated, raw options too?!?!
