Lasers beat rust

One thing I noticed in the original video was that the rust was "overnight" rust, in that it was chemically induced the night before expressly for the video. It was easy to tell since it was no quite covering all the metal and it was extremely light.

But still, the video results were impressive as that overnight rust just melted away with an inch tall set of sparks of some sort.

The rust on that second video was real!

So was the power of that laser!
You could hear the power difference between the two videos!
 
I would love to know who has this laser and if they offer "rust removal". I'd be in line!!!

I think one of the videos featured a $600K USD laser while the other was "only" $20K so we may have to wait in line.

Until then, there's always Naval Jelly (phosphoric acid).

Looks messy and labor intensive. Until the laser is broadly available, Navel Jelly will have to do. I just hope our rigs last until then,LOL>
