Lasfit 3" LED Pod Ditch Lights

So jus did my first major mod. Which involved taking out the tools. Installed 3" LED Pod Ditch Lights from Lasfit. Have a few steps shown down below. Overall the installation was easy which is great. Hardware and Light housing look of great quality. The styling is awesome in my opinion. I joined the Lasfit SYLE program and was selected to test the ditch lights. I’m posting this thread to share my real experience with the most honest opinion. They also have Awesome customer service. I’m glad I was approached and decided to go with lasfit.

Important to do top bolt first. This will help to not misalign the hood. Tighten top bolt to very snug fit.


Swing bracket to bolt bottom bolt.


Bolt barley cleared. It’s not hitting but it’s razor thin. Might switch the bolt around facing up.


Check the hood is aligned.


Biggest problem I came across was the small bracket on the relay box. The hole is too small for any bolt Toyota has already in use or any of the opens spots available. So I had to make the whole big enough for the bolt.


Connected the relay box on passenger side open spot that was available.


Ran power lines.


Job completed.

Have you had any others in the past that you can compare them too? Curious what the output compares to with the Diode Dynamics product line. Sport or Pro. I have Amber DD Sport fogs and they are great for daily driving, but would want more for a supplemental light. I've also had Rigid Dually pods in the past too and felt they were excellent for the size.

These are $150 right now with brackets which seems insanely cheap, so concerned a bit about quality and output. I've bought some cheaper LEDs in the past as well and they are pretty poor and filled up with moisture.

I like those Amber lights. Do they give enough light to see compared to white lights? Never used amber for spot/flood lights like that.

i have DD sc2 and DD sc3's on my truck currently, along with the lasfit HD 3inch pods. The only reason I'm running DD products is for the backlight, and thats gimmicky at best.

I think you can't go wrong with either company.

You're saying that your Lasfit 3in pods will compete with your DD3's? I'm going back and forth on this. I've watched YouTube videos, it appears that the DDs are way better? Right??

Yes they are in the same class, and use same technology. Be weary of DD fanboys. I buy whatever works for me.

Was thinking about a bracket as well. But didn’t want to take too much time. In the future I’m sure I will need a bracket though. I feel the lights are strong. They give enough light then you’ll ever need. I personally like the contrast they give off. White lights glare as well. Major point for me is that amber/yellow lights excel in bad weather over white lights. So your dust, fog, rain etc.

This site is full of fanboys for every brand or part possible, so that doesn't bother me. I just used DD as a comparison since I have their sport fog lights, but I'm not tied to any brand. I just want quality, but don't have the budget, or care enough, for crazy either. Usually if it's too good to be true it probably is, so hope to get some further reviews on these.

When I looked it up their websites i didn't see anything similar. There is only so many ways to draw a cube?:lalala:
