Leather Repair Product?

It has been a while since I posted last.....question though.....my drivers seat has some damaged leather on the side. The 'leather' has peeled off in a couple small places. Looking to 'fix' the best way possible. The rest of the seats are mint. Thanks!

That's just vinyl, they have a sort of vinyl paint that you can apply. Or just throw on some gorilla tape

Toyota has not used real leather, even on the Limited, for years. Rather they use a simulated leather called Softex. When you see fabric, like in your pictures, that is not even Softex, but is vinyl. The other's suggestions, above, is the way to go.

Most OEM leather seats only have actual leather on the seating surfaces and use other materials (like vinyl) on the non-seating surfaces like the sides and headrests. The Toyota website says the Limited has "leather-trimmed" seats which means just that, real leather but not the entire seat.

Take a look in your local auto parts store for a vinyl repair kit. It typically comes with several colors of repair liquid and brushes. And plastic texture strips. You paint on the liquid and fill in the damaged area. Then press the plastic texture strip that matches your seat pattern on the wet area and hold until it dries. Then let it cure for several hours. It works pretty well, you probably won’t even notice it on the sides of the seat. It’s worth a try.

Fair warning though, it effectively becomes a once every 12 - 18 months re-do effort on anything that is high traffic. I typically used it on steering wheels for my Subarus where it wasn't worth springing for a full recover.

You are right; my error. Limited does have genuine leather seating areas. westwind77 has an SR5, so it would probably have Softex.
