I doubt it, though I expect they'll actually work better in the '06 projectors than my '03 reflectors. Can't recommend them enough. Plus they have a lifetime warranty!
What would it take to fit '06 headlights into an '03?
You would need the headlight assemblies, grill and grill inserts (can't remember if that's what they're called). You can get the whole lot for around $350 on Ebay

So i was at the shop the other day where i get all my electrical/lighting etc done, finishing getting some lights and my winch all wired up. Anyways the guy who does all my work just showed me these in person and said their the best on the market right now and blow HID's away! He's currently just put them in his ride and said there amazing. I'm going to order a set and try them out after the holidays. I will try to do some comparison pics of these and my current 6000k HID's ..

Hmm i never even thought about that, that's definitely something to consider for those of us who drive in harsh winter conditions. I'm going to have to look into this further now! Thanks for the heads up..

What makes this any more right than the alternatives?
(Not being snarky--serious question. I've replaced all my interior lighting, but haven't yet researched the headlamps.)

Any update on this? I was thinking of adding LED fogs but this makes more sense if it works and is street legal.
I have the 06+ projectors and was looking at a few diferent options for the Low Beams.

Anyone run something similar? It could be interesting to see what results people have gotten. Im currently running stock lights on stock projector housings and looking for an upgrade.
One issue with LED bulbs is that they don't use as much electricity as incandescent. Normally that is a good thing. But as a result they don't heat up, so in the winter they don't melt accumulating snow if you are driving in a snow storm.
We see that with LED traffic light bulbs. On Friday our local fire department was out with a bucket truck clearing the snow from traffic lights. They didn't have to do that back when we had incandescent bulbs in the traffic lights.

I've been waiting to change mine to LEDs for awhile but not until one of my bulbs burns out! While I did research I never found the LED bulbs in the 06+ projector but I saw a thread and I think it was a tacoma and the guy had snow/ice all over his car and he cranked up and turned his headlights on. One headlight was HID conversion and the other was LED. After about 10 minutes the HID was cleared and the LED still had the same snow/ice on it. The good news is I'm from Alabama so I won't have to worry about summer/winter headlights!

Products from TRS include all the CORRECT equipment to make the HID light function properly and in their respective and proper medians. The only other genuinely good alternative are HIR bulbs, but it is my understanding they have to be trimmed to fit.
I have vLed products and they are second to none.
If you get HID or LEDs, both are technically ILLEGAL. Any modifications (as long as what you replace your bulb with is also halogen and/or not overly powerful) to the factory headlight/fog/whatever are considered illegal.
This is an issue I never thought off. I guess for your guys up north it is. Very interesting.
Thoughts on LEDs:
Another problem with LED headlights is that they continue (will always be) to be unidirectional. I know they are powerful suckers, but the median they use (factory reflective bowl/projector or HID projector) is not correct one. Our reflector (03-05 4Runners) and projectors (06-09) were made for a omni-directional light source (halogen), they were not made with LEDs in mind. Even the vLed product I'm unimpressed with. Yes it's bright, yes it can be adjusted, but there are still hotspots and blotchiness to the beam pattern. I'm thinking they need to make some sort of median (translucent plastic, I dunno) to physically place OVER the LED light source so that it spreads the light everywhere. Doing this will better enable our reflectors/projectors to be a good median for which LED light can be used.
Remember too that Corollas/Prius/Avalons/Audi/Accord/whatever that come from the factory use a median specially designed for an LED. I would LOVE to see how the inside of that projector or whatever it's called, work.
Of course, that is the science behind it. I have seen some pics that are impressive, but I wouldn't want them for low beam operation. However, for high beam (when you sparingly use) I think LEDs would be a quantum leap forward relative to the stock halogen bulbs they come with. In fact, I'm thinking of getting LED but only for my HiBeams.

The new corollas have LED headlights as stock... I don't see the problem with them? HIDs are way too blinding in a reflector housing on the 03-05 4runners.
