LED High Beams

HAHA, one thing i noticed on the 2021 4 runners, the rear tag light is still halogen. Its like Toyota cheaped out on some stuff. But at least they finally got led low beams

I have only had the '21 for 4 days, are the interior lights leds?

I have a 2021 ORP, interior lights are still bulbs. No LED.

This led high beam has peaked my interest as well. Plug and play replacement be sweet.
Do the Pros have a removable high beam? Appears my led low is sealed in there. Is the small 2 wire connector closest to the radiator for daytime?

The 2021 TRD Pro’s low/high are in one LED Projector Module. The high beam, when activated, moves a shield and allows all of the light from the LED Chip to be projected thru the lens.

In the 2021 TRD Pro, the DRL is still a halogen, located in the place of the previous year model DRL/High Beam bulbs.

I would love to get a model number for the plug and play LED high beam for my 21 TRD-OR. This is starting to annoy me now, lol. Looks like a simple swap out.

Ahh yes, I do recall reading that. Have been reading too many threads about Leds. Led retro it is, not changing housing just yet. So far the Led lows with fogs have been plenty.

Its a 9005 socket. So any 9005 will fit.

'21 TRDORP.... Just grabbed a 9005 from Auxbeam on Amazon and its working wonderfully. Dims to a safe brightness when switched to DRL, and super bright as a highbeam.

If allowed, can you link that bulb? There are a couple different Auxbeam 9005 models that pop up. If not maybe a better description, thanks.

Finally got hold of the outfit. The LED highs I have are the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 9005.

1. AUXITO has a complete 2014+ Toyota 4runner LED bulb upgrade kit, all bulbs are plug and play without any modifications.

2. If you think the LED bulbs in the kit are not bright enough, you can choose our brightest headlight bulbs from the Y13 series.

3. If the high beam or low beam is integrated with DRL, due to the low current of DRL, there may be problems such as error reporting, flickering and DRL not opening. Generally, the decoder can not be solved. If your vehicle’s headlight bulbs have a DRL function, please ensure you turn the DRL function off and only use the headlights in the "on" position.

I have the XD Xtreme 9005 LED high beams with the DRL drivers and they are great. They do not flicker and the DRL driver significantly reduces the lumen output so they work like DRLs not highs. Now, with that said, I do not know if the "new" XD has the same models that the previous owners were selling. YMMV.

Drop-in LED's a typically regarded as junk by people in the know.

I grabbed pair of high and low beam drop ins from Amazon earlier this year on sale and they’ve been perfect. I read somewhere that the regular bulbs help melt snow and ice off of the glass so I’ll have to see that for myself but I couldn’t be happier!

Xenon Depot

Installed Xenon Depot’s with their DRL Module. Color matches factory LED’s on my ‘21 Trail. DRL not overly bright no flickering at all.

I just did the XD LED Stage 1 kit in a 2018 SR5 Premium with no issues, DRL's don't flicker with the provided driver and the (much brighter) lo beams don't get me flashed. Night and day difference in lighting, if you'll excuse the pun.
