LEDs for rear plate..anyone run them?

does anyone use any led bulbs for the cluster? or the lights behind the dash?
or do we just buy oem replacements for them?

The common D has been out in the cluster since I bought it, and I think the D on the gear selector as well, and the back lighting for the rear window switch is also out... Like to maybe freshen that all up since I got to pull it out to do the taco antenna mod.

The D in the gauge cluster is a single bulb under the D, each gear has it's own bulb there, while there is a single bulb in the gear select/shifter housing for all gears.

I get the Sylvania LEDs for the rear license plate bulbs. I put a set in my Mazda in 2015 with no issues and have a set in the 4R now.

Zero complaints.

I'm not sure what year rig you have, (seems older than a 2001 since the "D" is out without any problems), however, if you have TRAC and VSC (standard on 01's and newer)you want to leave your P-L bulbs alone. LED's don't provide the volts needed for the ABS computer and you'll end up getting the VSC/TRAC lights coming on. More than likely a non-issue for you.

I read your thread, thanks for the link. Mine is a 2002. So wont be replacing the P-L bulbs with LED, but could still do the back lighting ones in LED correct ? from your link looks like you put some red arrows to the ones you can replace. Just leave the smaller ones alone haha.

According to streetcreeper you want the 120 degree LEDs for your dash lights.
