Lemon Law Question

Has anyone tried to lemon law their '03 4Runner for the loose drivers seat problem ? This may be my next step. I have been to the dealer 3 times for the same problem and its still not fixed. The service manager says their current fixes are not working so there is nothing he can do for me. I'm going to meet the factory rep in a couple weeks to see what he says. I will suggest replacing the manual seat with a power seat if they can't fix it..

Can you claim a Lemon from a seat rattle??? I thought it had to be something mechanical or safety-related. Maybe you can say that the loose seat is a safety defect.

For example, i don't think anyone can call their vehicle a Lemon because of a speaker rattle that dealers can't fix.

:dunno:

But, good luck in resolving that problem.

I think the seat being loose is a BIG safety issue. What if the truck is involved in an accident, since the seat is now out of spec and may not perform the way it was designed to. Its not just a rattle, the whole seat is loose within the frame. You can grab the back part of the seat and rock it front to back. The seat also is loose.

my passenger seat rattles like crazy once i go over like 65mph i just shove a book between the center console and the seat to stop it from rattling so bad

Lemon Law

Yes you can do Lemon Law. First you need to know how. My 2003 went back because of a cog belt noise. I now have a perfect 2003> no problems. Lemon Law is very easy, just read up on it and don't go to arbitration!

Glad to hear they replaced yours :)

I had a 2000 Impala that had a starting problem that they bought back via the lemon law. The morning I had the hearing my wife was driving my son to school and got T-boned by a sunbird on the passenger side. We drive it to the hearing all smashed up, lol. We ended up getting almost all the money we put in the car back.
