Lexus dealers testing out no-haggle buying

"They are used to getting a discount or a coupon that makes them feel like they’re scoring a deal, which they might not get in a no-negotiation environment, Merriman said."

Pretty sure they'll leave the window sticker on with MSRP and then tag it 500-1000k lower which will still be multiple thousands over invoice. But the millennials will feel special since they got a discount...

Now if they post up invoice price at no haggle, I could be in!

Ugh... What has happened to society?? So lazy. Can't even negotiate an item when it's 10's of thousands of dollars. :frusty:

funny my dealer has been doing this for years and he makes more now than with the traditional haggle.

he makes his money by volume and hitting units sold thresholds for the kick back from Toyota on top of the hold backs and add-ons.

doesn't really get any kick backs from the banks from what I can tell since the last few vehicles we have had 0% financing.
