I am not sure if Mark is selling the bulbs any longer. If I can find the pair I had in mine I will send them to you. Since I had to relocate my tag i pull those out of the stock locations

Pep Boys has a special on them (cheapest I've found actually), under $10 for a pair. You have to order them online (then select in-store pickup) to get the deal. I haven't installed them on my 4Runner because the screws holding the license plate lenses are rusted out,but I've used them in other vehicles and they work great. They're a nice white color, not that bluish crap you'll find on cheaper bulbs. Lifetime warranty too.

I bet you want to fix this soon so your son can drive the truck in the next few days. Take your son to Autozone or wherever and find the bulbs. It's a good opportunity for him to learn how to fix some small items himself. If he's old enough to drive it's time to figure some things out. He'll need a Phillip's screwdriver to open the cover. You push and twist the bulbs out. I have replaced the license bulbs on two of my 4Runners with LEDs and the other night when my youngest son drove away I asked myself why. They are VERY bright and there's no need for the license to be the first thing noticed about his 4Runner LOL. If he does want LED's the cheapest are on eBay and I've had good luck with them. I have some that are several years old, came from China for less than $2 each, and have lasted. Here's an example of 20 for $7.99 shipped. The torpedo shaped bulbs work in the overhead interior lights.
